Hail Caesar in West Yorks

Hi All

Bit of a newbie to classical however long time player of another relatively popular fantasy style wargame from a relatively successful company and with the very strange changes made to their longest running and mildly successful fantasy style wargame (as Rolf would say "can ya guess what it is yet") I have decide to take the classical plunge and acquired a copy of WAB and some rather lovely Warlord Imperial Romans (and shall be exploring both Wargames Factory, Gripping Beast and many other fine companies). Now after reading the nice write up that RP did on the HC rules I'm intrigued to explore this different (to WAB) way of gaming as I can obviously use my nice new mini's for both systems (pics to follow hopefully soon (dependant on work/college/screaming kids).

So to try and finish off my rather rambling waffle I'd like to ask any players in the west Yorkshire area (UK) as I'd love to try out the game before I buy and its always useful to have an opponent. I don't often get up to my local gaming club (Pennine Raiders, Halifax) due to family/work/college commitments however if there are any members who live local and have a table we can work something out.

Hi steharan

Did you find anyone to give you a game of Hail Caesar?

Have recently got into Hail Caesar having previously enjoyed Black Powder at my local club (Leeds Night Owls).So far played just the one game, a big multiplayer with 10 of us playing including an Umpire. great fun and definitely plan on playing again. ahev just picked up HC rulebook and plan on getting some Macedonians at Partizan at end of May..

Is west Leeds too far for you to get to? Leeds Night Owls is just off the ring road.
