First Hail Caesar Game

Postby Dalauppror » Fri May 20, 2011 10:08 am

Yesterday I and my friend Björn had a first go with the new rules Hail Caesar.I had put together a small scenario based on the battle at Cissa in 218BC.We used the Björns stunning Romans and Carthagian 28mm minis.2 bases with 8 minis each was a average unit, and we playd om a 120x180mm table.I realy like Black Powder for my AWI games and Hail Caesar will probably be my primary ancient/medieval rules...as they are quite easy and gives a realy good game.LaughOrder of Battle RomeRight Flank: General, Publius Cornelius Scipio1 Unit of Equites2 Units of Legionaries1 Units of VelitesCenter: C-in-C, Gnaeus Cornelius Scipio Calvus3 Units of Legionaries2 Units of VelitesLeft Flank: General, Fechoría (Celto-Iberian Allied)2 Units of Celto-Iberian ScutariiOrder of Battle CarthageRight Flank: General, Fredo2 Units of Carthagian - Light Infantry1 Units of Carthagian - Skirmish infantryCenter: C-in-C, Hanno4 Units of Carthagian - Heavy infantry2 Units of Carthagian - Skirmish infantryLeft Flank: General, Ebros1 Unit of Carthagian - Medium Cavalry2 Units of Carthagian - Light CavalryYou can find the pictures at my blog:http://dalauppror.blogspot.com.....-game.html http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa319/dalauppror/Hail%20Caesar/AAR%20110519/1mtext.gif

My friend Björnt that I played the Hail Caesar game with have made he´s own AAR of the Carthagian loss (As he was the Carthagian General I suppouse it is full of Hannibals propaganda…)You can find it at our clubs forum, just scroll down a bit…He have used the Battle Chronicler to make very nice maps over the Battle.

Hi

Now we have played 5 Punic war games using Hail Caesar, and the rules work realy well and give us realy interesting and fun games.

You can read the AAR at my blog Dalauppror and I also put up all the 4 Punic war scenarios I whriten, but you have to coupe with .jpg of them... as I can´t upload .pdf at the blog. If you want them as .pdf pleas make a visit to our club forum, it is in swedish, but I hop that you will be able to download my Hail Saecar cenarios anyway :?

Best Regards Dalauppror
