I believe many of mine may be remarkably similar to yours...
Starting with an excellent potted history of the wars the book moves through strategy and tactics and organization and then moves into some detail in regard to the world of campaign related topics. Finance, recruitment, hospitals and supply are tackled in amazing detail - ever wondered how much fodder a Hussar squadron got through in a week? If you did the answer is here and fully explained!

Bruce Quarrie's two books 'Napoleonic Wargaming Airfix Magazine Guide: 4' and the remake 'Napoleon's Campaigns in Miniature: A Warmonger's Guide to the Napoleonic Wars, 1796-1815' has the answer to your questions - for basically every nation that fought.

Greenjacket wrote:We play just Peninsular War (though we will get into Russians later this year). The main thing is to KISS while making the French try to manoeuvre rapidly in column, while the British fight in line trying to get in close.
French:
Elan - Reliable in Attack Column. We don't give units the +1 Attack Column morale save - we have found it has led to some odd situations (i.e. columns outshooting lines). Of course, French use Mixed Formation.
A French Brigade has a Ld7 brigadier and 4 units. Two brigades have an artillery battery (we use 2-gun batteries because they look better than single guns).
British:
Thin red line - British are Shooting 4 at close range (so they have an incentive to fight in line in close). We don't give them Mixed Formation, as historically their light companies were combined with the rifle companies to form a brigade light corps.
Rifles - Rifles are skirmishing marksmen with rifles. We also have a house rule that skirmishers don't form square if charged by enemy cavalry, but evade one move and are disordered.
A British Brigade had a Ld7 Brigadier, 3 Line units, and a Small Rifle unit.
A Portugese Brigade has a Ld7 Brigadier, 1 Cacadore Skirmisher unit and 4 Portugese Line units.
British cavalry "gallop at everything" - they are Ferocious charge but must sweeping advance if they win a combat!
