I am a GW refugee as well, having just recently really given it up and ebayed my warhammer collection - the 40k stuff went in January. I know how you feel!

I think member sas_mike has a club motto which best sums up the attitude of most historical gamers once they have left the competitiveness of gw - "Who Cares Who Wins" - love it!

Hehe, that's great I'll have to use it!

In some ways it is nice to have once been a GW wargamer, since the prices of historicals seem even cheaper. I still can't believe I get 60 French in a box for around 20 quid!

Well I think you have answered all my questions, so thanks for that. Maybe I'll post some pictures of my battalion when I base them. In the meantime I'll just try and contribute to the forum where I can :D

Stick with the Napoleonic s mate you will be rewarded, have a look at some of the battle reports and photo shots, nothing looks better than a Napoleonic war game, and once you have a Peninsular war French army you can do the TYW :D

Thanks for the encouragement! Work is getting in the way of painting at the moment, but I'm still hoping to finish a battalion in a week or so.

I whole heatedly agree - just wish I could keep at them myself. :D

Nearly finished my Baden Dragoons this weekend and primed a unit of Lights - plus ordered all the stuff I need to finish my III Corps.
