i fought my first zulu wars battle last night with two of my mates playing as the british . i played the zulus ! we used the very wonderful black powder rules written by the famous rick preistly . the britishs objective was to rescue the remnants of british soldiers who had surived their original armies demise at the hand of the attacking zulu horde . they had holed up in a vacant boar farm house . the brits had a gataling gun and a 7 pound cannon to boot as well as some units of the famous 80th foot ! so quicly the brits were off to the rescue . the zulus charged in trying to flank the brits with the left and right horns . sneaky skirmishers had sneaken in the night before and lie and waited for the brave rescuers to come . and they did, and the zulus sprang foward eager to wash their spears with blood . through valor and bravery the brits fought valinly and were able to hold off the hoards of natives . the last thing the brits did was set the farm house on fire and retired with the men they were sent to rescue . great game ! lots of laughs playing black powder is always a great time . i really suggest any one interested in the hoarse and musket period to give it a try enjoy the pics !
