Can you guys recomend a World War 2 range?

Battlefront is okayish, unfortunately 15mm ( definately too small, you know..).
28mms? No idea.
Wait, wouldn't 28mm hardplastic WWII soldiers be a great idea?
Guess I'd start an Infanterie Division with plenty of Panzer support then.
Cheers

Spanner
Lets try:
Black tree design, Victory miniatures, Renegade miniatures, Marks Crusader Miniatures, Mikes Artizan Miniatures, Alan and Michaels Foundry figures...... is there another good company ....... ;)

My personal favourite are Victory Force. Highest quality, detai and the most historical detail as well as anatomical accuracy.
Cheers,
Burkhard
Nobody really makes a comprehensive line of WW2 stuff though. And most of what is out there is of dubious quality. Not to mention focused on Western Europe in 1944+ (or stuff so obscure as to be unsuable most of the time).
BAM made the best WW2 stuff IMO, and I am very excited to see Warlord aquire them.
I hadn't see the Vicotry Force stuff before, that is nice!
I really like Black tree design, and theyre cheap but dont touch theyre vehicles with a barge pole.
For 1/56th scale vehicles Ive painted JTFM and theres a gallery of my stuff on their website at

For SS Bolt action are my favourite and Im looking forward to a go at their vehicles cos I do some painting for Warlord and am hoping for a go at the King Tiger.
Rules wise I like coffins for seven brothers by Iron Ivan.
I prefer FOW mostly because of the scale.
15mm allows you to really get a sense of movement in company or battalion sized engagements. I have played ROE in 28 mm and to me it seemed like a good rules system, but I am not necessarily keen on the squad to platoon sized engagements. But then again none of my mates were playing it either so the motivation is definitely lacking.
What I am keen to do though is play a large game of FOW (say 3-4000 points) with the artillery support for the defender off the table. You then have a seperate table set up in 28mm with the artilery support for the FOW game. the 28mm table then plays a game where the attacker attempts to destroy the artillery position with a ranger platoon or something, and the results of that game - played concurrently - effect the FOW game. So if you loose an artillery piece or an entire bty it reduces the amount of artillery support you have in the FOW game.
Cheers,
Jim
I do like FoW, unfortunately the newer sculpts of the German Sturmkompanie is absolutely not to my liking. It actually put me off completely for the time being.
Gernerally I am more of a 28mm player, I guess. Gonna have to check Victory Force..
Cheers

In my humble opinion, Artizan designs are by far and away the finest infantry sculpts for the "heroic" gameplayer. BAM's Tanks and guns are superb!
