Superb US Army Resource

Postby Paul @ Warlord Games » Sat Sep 05, 2009 7:37 am

I stumbled across this when trying to get in touch with this forums Parus Ater. I have to admit to having passed it over as just another re-enactor site when he first mentioned it.

Big mistake!

Normandy 44

Check out the pages of kit, vehicles, etc - very, very useful for the wargamer!

Not something I ever expected to type but seeing that site makes me want to paint Yanks...

Cheers,

Paul

I suggest you go for a lie down in a darkened room, until the feeling passes.

It is a cool site though!

I cured the affliction by painting AWI British and Bolt Action British Airborne.

Feeling much better now...

Cheers guys!

There's a forum on there as well so if you're interested in what we do don't be too shy to join in.

I did a reference thread on here and on a couple of other sites (the longest version is on here though) of US web equipment, basically so as modellers could get a good look at the details of original bits and bobs. I'll be putting up the basic uniform types soon, just waiting on good natural lighting so you can see the colours right and a few of the more interesting bits that you can have a pop at modelling yourself.

Just to toot my own trumpet again I thought I'd share a few pictures with you…

Victory show last weekend (5th - 6th September) we had the pretty excitable idea of building a full camp complete with a nine foot fence with real wire and a gate to guard. It's a shame we couldn't get a picture of the entire camp but what do you expect with a camp which is 240ft x 110ft.
