Saw her in the flesh and the uniform is haaawwwt! 8-) And I met Herr Flick and Gruber who were top blokes. Not fussed about Crabtree.

blondes or brunettes..they are both lovely series you are forcing may arm here,,

For long term charm and terific acting it has to be dads army ...for fabulous farce and naughtiness and great jerries allo allo,,

I find it great that we can laugh alongside and at the germans in this show,,

I did watch allo allo just last week after quite a break from it and enjoyed it hugely , mind you i listened to Dads army on radio 4+ too last week and that was great too.. Only one way to find out,,,FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm. The Candle with the Handle, or Don't tell him your name Pike... Very hard choice. So I'm just going to choose the one with the biggest boobies. Hallo Hallo it is.

I think it is fair to say they are both classics . Too a slightly lesser extent "Some like it Hot" as well . I just wish the new wave of comedy writers would look at classics like these and examine why we like them. Certanly with Allo Allo there is a bit of "slap and tickle" not too indifferent to the successful "Carry On" films.

One my Mrs enjoys is "Goodnight Sweetheart" which is patchy at best IMO and doesn't help with the case when they have to change the actresses between series' .The American war comedies like MASH , I could never really get into. I certainly think British humour is totally different to that of the US. I was one of those who never found Bob Hope funny ,yet he was well liked over the pond.

It has to be 'Allo 'Allo for me, especially as you can get every episode, so many Dads Army still missing along with some great Doctor Who ("Lets Wipe the Film, Nobody will ever want to see this again!")

M*A*S*H the books was amazing, the film was wondrful but the telly series..... Meh. The constant laugh track is distracting, which is a shame since it never had it when it was first shown. Even the DVD has it.

I used to watch it on Rhodesian TV. It didn't have the laughter tracks then either. Is there an option on the DVD to turn them off?
Why do film companies treat people with such condescension? They always seem to want to tell us when as if we don't know how!
