Oh man,

I still don't own any Americans, even! A problem I WILL fix at Adepticon.

Honestly, on the plastics front, I'm kind of doing a wait and see to see the army lists from Bolt Action. I'm good with US and German forces in Normandy for my current game. I'm guessing I'll be dialing up to platoon level for Bolt Action, which the plastics are PERFECT for!

Googling "Warlord Plastic Russians" got me a few hits on the greens and 3-ups shown at Salute a few weekends ago. They look like they'll fit in well with the current metal range.

Looks like they'll be wearing summer uniforms, though it's hard to tell what kind of headgear options there might be. Saw some soft caps and possibly a bareheaded one too.

That's sort of a disappointment. I was hoping they were for freezing weather. :(

I did some searching too and found good pictures from Salute. These could be great.

What I *think* I saw was guys in summer uniform and what looked like the early uniform with no rank distinctions. That would be perfect. I could use them for Barbarossa all the way up to the beginning phases of Stalingrad.

I, too, would really like to see a set of plastics in greatcoats, but I'd like that to be a separate set. I'd like to use those for Moscow and the winter phases of Stalingrad and operation Mars.

If the weapons are separate that would be really great because then I could swap in German weapons as captured equipment.

I would make the effort to assemble plastics with this kind of flexibility on offer. Can't wait to see the product.

Don't know if these are the upcoming plastics or the current metal ones. Never fully understood Warlord and their release of metal soviet infantry. If any needs loads and loads of cheap infantry it is the soviet players. The metal ones are great though.

Keep those plastics coming Warlord! :)

@johnnie24, yes, these are 3-up models designed for plastic model production. Whether they are the final production 3-up models is another question, but my guess is these will be close to the final product, scaled down 3x.

I can't wait to see these. It looks like they are early war uniforms. I hope the box doesn't contain a mix of guys in padded uniforms and guys in summer uniforms though I fear that will be the case. A box of each would be nice. A box of guys wearing greatcoats would be even better.
