USMC primer

Postby airborne321 » Sun Mar 18, 2012 5:30 am

Hello all I was just wondering what y'all think would be the best Army Painter primer spray paint besides black and white for my USMC and my Sherman tank. George :)

I think one of the Flames of War sprays might be spot on for the M4 and they are, as far as I know, made by the Army Painter people. I used their Russian green on a T-26 and it seems very good.

Army painter have a pale green, I am not sure what it is called, that might be a good start for green uniforms. If I remember correctly it was not dissimilar to the old Airfix M3 Olive Green we used to use on the Airfix multipose figures but that was a long time ago.

The FoW sprays include a US Armor spray that's more brownish than the Soviet Armor spray. iirc, the US military didn't move to an Olive Drab color until mid-way through the Vietnam War.
