Vickers Light Tank

... you evil swines ... that is just so unfair.
"You're a big man, but you're in bad shape. With me, it's a full time job." – Lt. Bromhead to Prince Dabulamanzi before the Battle of Rorke's Drift.

I already have some of these in metal form. Do these have a one piece track casting? I ask because the metal ones with seperate suspension and torsion bars were little sods to glue together.

These are superb for VBCW as well!

I try to avoid 28 mm early war or Africa. That's so weird to add such a nice tank.

I have to phone Santa about the Warlord crew being sooooo nasty. ;)

I honestly cant ever see myself doing early war or WW2 Africa as an army, but man this is a lovely looking vehicle... I think at some point I will have to get one of these just for the joy of painting and owning it.

In fact should like to convert the crew man so he is holding a cup sitting in his tanks having a brew!

Oh I had! I just wanted to emphasise my thoughts on the era... The most interesting vehicles of the war! I don't really play FOW anymore, but my own army is the British 4th Light Armoured Brigade! Never sees the light of day, but that is because of my issues with the game.

Nice tanks by the way! Love the Grant. 8-)

The suspension/torsion assemblies are still separate - there would been too many compromises in detail to have them as part of the track on such a small vehicle.

The good news is the tracks are resin so it's a piece of cake to glue them on now. All-in-all the Vickers are a lot less components than they were - something I'm trying to apply to all the old BEF vehicles.
Cheers,

Paul Sawyer

Good news, Paul. The BEF vehicles are fantastic, but sometimes there were just too many parts and the instructions could sometimes be hazy. It meant a lot of research looking for photos on the web. Actually, that bit was quite handy because you sometims came across some great ideas.
