Color help and feedback

This is the link to my new photo bucket, I have no idea how to get images on here at a decent size so for now ill ask you guys to go here.
There are four pictures on there. 3 are of my finished german stuff usuing Games Workshop catachan green for the uniform and then minwax poly shades for a dip shade method.

the last picture of two americans is the most important though. one uses vallejo brown violet for helmet and the us dark green for the uniform (figure firing) the other is vice versa.

Please give me your input in what looks more appropriate as well as feedback on the germans. please leave it in this forum post and excuse my lack of photo and painting skills ha

I'm not a fan of the brown violet thing at all, it just doesn't match any original samples. Catachan green is very close to the M43 set jacket and trousers but the trousers weren't exactly common so wool trousers is a better idea. I'd avoid using green on US webbing. The boots are M43 buckle boots so they're rough out leather with a smooth out leather cuff which was a bit raw leather browny orange. The foot of the boot was anything from sand to dark oaty brown.

AAck but i used the catachan green for the germans and chaos black for their helmets. i just want it all to be close to accurate ha.
