Any chance to see some characters packs for BA ?

Postby worrywort » Sat Dec 03, 2011 2:24 pm

I'm lookink for the new zulu war packs. Especially the character pack with the heroes of Rock's Drift.

Any chance to see some other characters pack for the WWII like Wittman ?

I would like to see a pack to represant the german soldiers in the Ambush of Poteau in the Bulge for an exemple.

I think that there were so many soldiers involved in WW2 that almost any figure can be seen as a hero. Just take your pick and call them what you want. From my reading every rank has had distinguished soldiers, who have been awarded the highest medals, for example the list of Victoria Cross medals awarded in WW2

I think that's a road that has Flames of War went down and it's not a nice road to be on.

I would have to agree. It's somewhat silly. I do own some of the special characters. I just use them as regular figures though. The rules they for the special characters are kind of ridiculous too. Although, in my opinion, the very worst rule in the FoW world has to be the Canadians "woodsmen" rule for a country trait. It's just stupid. Followed closely by the M10 tank destroyers that magically appear when a jeep transforms. Lame!

I have to say I cannot wait for the BA WW2 rules.

Loads of warrior models, and every one of them has rules that read like Captain Lysander of the Imperial Fists.

Exactly, and why, not after producing such things, find another company's forum and try to pick holes in member's paintjobs or terminology... ;) :ugeek:

I think I don't really eplain my wish exactly.

I don't want a rules for this guys.

Just have minis which are inspired by a picture for the pose or material.

That's all.

My exemple for the Poteau ambush in the ardenne are the SS showing in a deutsch movie. We can see often these guys in magazines.

ANd I think it could be cool to have some minis with the material, clothes and weapons that's all.

I don't want a lysander.

And my point is that any mini will do that for you.

Yes, I can see what you mean. I think there could be a need/desire/place for "heroic" characters; I believe the point was being made that in other rulesets, it leads down the path of silliness! Sometimes.
