Very nice work on the displayed model by Dom Goh. I would like to point out that the WG descriptive text has a small error though. The contention that the number refers to the year it entered service is not entirely correct, It's the year it was approved for service - sometimes it's the same but not always. The PaK40 actually didn't make it into service until the very end of 1941, not 1940. Like the Pak 38, the 5cm A/T gun, there was a significant gap between design,approval and then issue to the troops.

I've read that date statement in a few places but don't know the in's and out's of German kit dates so I can't really comment. Excellent paint job, though.

I can understand the date to front line lag, the US experienced something along the same lines as well as issues of old standard being dished out first, which is why you'd need to go something to find a folding shovel in Afrika despite the 'M-1943' designation matching up.

Let them eat Static.
