A question

Gentlemen,

I know the best part of nothing about the TYW, but I quite fancy the idea of Bavarian units solely because of the diamondy flags.

This of course breeds two questions,

1 Were the diamondy, (is that a word?), flags used in the 17th. century?

2 Would using a mixture of Royalist/parliamentary troops in the same unit be O.K?

3 (I can't count) Can anybody reccommend a "primer2 for uniforms of this war?

@ Dissatisfied customer If you're worried about mixing troops from both Royalist and parliamentary box sets, don't worry as they're exactly the same miniatures only with different flag sheets. I believe the ECW cavalry include flags for the TYW so one box of each may get you a bit of variety. I never got the flag sheets in my Battalia box so I don't know whether there were any Bavarian diamondies included.

By the way if your general satisfaction level ever increases you can change the way your name apears by changing your display name in the profile menu

Will Warlord games also release a few Thirty years war Dutch revolt Sheets of flags

that would come in handy

Gentlemen and laddies,

Does anyone of you know what collor jacket GötlandVaster-Götland cavalry regementer did wear

I want to split my cavalry in two blocks of twelf man. so i would like to paint them in two seprate uniforms (1 Block in Smaland collors and 1 in either one of the others )

Can anyone advise me on books concerning this subject ( I have the ospey books on swedish cavalry and infantry of the time)

i most thankfully for any advise.
