...of any figures for raiding parties like those shown at the beginning of Alatriste (which I'm just watching at the moment Wink)?

It is a fabulous movie.  The final scene is some of the best pike and shot action in a movie ever.  Just about the only movie with subtitles which I can sit through (as well as Das Boot obviously Wink ).  (Check out You Tube if you haven't seen the DVD.) I know that JS is a fan of the movie as well and so I wonder how much badgering it would take for a special set of miniatures Cool ?  At the very least some figs in the Spanish Infantry box set, which if it isn't planned then should be! In the mean time … Warlord do some nice dismounted cavalry that look right for that initial Alatriste scene.  I think you may need some conversions for some of the Spanish – perhaps the clubmen and artilley crew (for shirt sleeves) with bits from the infantry sprues?  It is probably worth scouring the artillery crew in the Bicorne and Renegade ranges for some more options.  I think the Capitán's hat will require some modelling in green-stuff, but is he wearing it in that initial scene? The final scene from Alatriste, the Battle of Rocroi, would be a great TYW scenario, especially if it ended with the stubborn Spanish infantry, deserted by the cowardly german mercenaries, surrounded by the French cuirassier.  Marvellous. (I must admit that this movie has meant that this is the first time I have ever wanted a Spanish army!) Once Warlord have sorted out Alatriste then it surely be an easy step to ….. The Flashing Blade Laugh .  Check out You Tube again if you are of too tender an age to have spent Saturday mornings in front of the telly watching this.  I was quite surprised to discover that there was actually a plot and a story line!
