Postby Lovstrom » Sun Jul 24, 2011 6:56 pm

Hello
American civil war.
What other manufacturers figures would fit in with the Perrys plastic range.
I absolutely love these figures but would like to ba able to fill with some different poses.

I've not found any yet. They all seem to be either noticably larger or smaller, or the proportions are out.

Even their earlier ACW work with Foundry is not a good match.

I bit teh bullet and used the Perry's metal range.

Although if anyone else has had a better experience that myself, be keen to hear it..!

Yeah, I'd use Perry's metals too.

I find Sash & Sabre fits right in with Perry's Metals and Plastics to the point most people would be hard placed to pick out the difference at any distance.

Personally, I also use Steve Barber and Foundry. These are both a bit bigger, but not to the extent that it bothers me.

In this photo you've got a Perry metal command group (officer, flag bearer, drummer). Now all of the other figures on the front row are Sash and Sabre. The back row is all Perry's plastic, with one exception. The guy in the brown floppy hat, reloading, is a Steve Barber figure. To me they all look fine together.
