Civil War types

Postby Bristles » Mon May 28, 2012 4:13 pm

Hi Guys,
The recent arrival of my copy of 'Pike and Shotte'.... albeit damaged! :( has inspired me to rummage through the lead mountain and paint some figures to go with them.

These three i've just finished I bought way back in the early 90's but not sure who made them....... possibly foundry? Any of you guys know the answer please??

Cheers

Hey Bristles, those are Foundry figs, I have the same ones, they're a bit smaller than WG so they now get used for the Witchfinder General rules which is alot of fun BTW. And very nicely painted might I add too :)

Lovely brush work. Shame the book got damaged, was it the postie?

I had the guy carrying the basket/gabion and the dismounted cavalry chap. I used to really like Foundry figures and would only buy their pretty much for everything! Wouldn't buy them now because I generally prefer other makes and also their postage prices are mental! I do still have a small number knocking about the place myself.

Thanks for that info chaps;)
'Mikeland' my book wasn't damaged by the postie cos the box had no marks on it. The book had obviously suffered before being packed. Both covers and all pages have suffered from some kind of crushing and show horrible creases but........oh well, still a great set of rules:(

I would email Paul and let him know it wasn't acceptable. I know I would.

I certainly would to, if the fault was not the postal services it had to of happened at source and any damage is not acceptable
It has been made very clear by members and Paul I am not welcome on this forum because I don't bend over and agree with everything warlord does.

Unfortunately I don't care what any of you think...at all.

Britles, You are a 'brushmeister' really like your painting style... on the fig carrying the basket, is that rip in his trousers modelled on the fig or have you' done it (and the patch on his arm?. Great work...the dismounted cav fig is definitely Foundry. Great painting

Thankyou!! The guy with the basket is very tatty, his sleeves have been torn away at both shoulders, patches on the arm. The rip on his knee i wasn't too sure about, it did have the shape of a tear but also looked like normal folds, so i opted to paint it as a hole.
It's a shame the piccy wasn't clearer :-(
