Jammers signature

Postby ady2650 » Thu May 03, 2012 2:06 pm

I think that the poorest he that is in England hath a life to live, as the greatest he; ... and I do think that the poorest man in England is not bound in a strict sense to that government that he hath not had a voice to put himself under

I say silence you parliamentarian fool.... :D “Let me tell you, it is not a slight thing you are about.”

God Save the King :D :D

The Second US president John Adams, speaking of the battle of Worcester where Parliaments victory finally brought the Civil Wars to a close:

...And do Englishmen so soon forget the Ground where Liberty was fought for? Tell your Neighbours and your Children that this is holy Ground, much holier than that on which your Churches stand. All England should come in Pilgrimage to this Hill..."

I'm with Jammers! Great Quote!

All the democracies of the world owe a debt of gratitude to these men of Parliament, who stood against tyranny and against a King who sought to rule without a care for the rule of law or the will of his subjects. The ideas that were given birth and voice in those years would resonate down the ages buying for us all the freedoms we now take for granted, non more so than those voiced at the Putney debates.

And, just to say.. it seems like awfully bad form to take issue with someones forum signature!

@grant, lets get this straight... All rebels

Even the French and Dutch resistance in WW2

Even Robin Hood?

Even Maxiumus?

Even.... Luke, Leia, Han and and Chewie?
