A question of size

Postby grant » Sat Mar 24, 2012 9:40 pm

Just wondering if anyone knows how well the Perry ECW range would fit in with the Warlord figures. I haven't seen any of the Perry ECW in person.

Thanks in advance!

I'd be keen to know the answer to this as well. I've got two of the starter army boxes from a couple of years (I think) back when the range was originally released. Quite fancy some other manufacturers troops to add additional variety.

And a few months of spare time to paint them all :D

This fine body of fighting Parliamentarians are a mix of Perry and warlord. Perrys are the 2,3,4th from the left on the back row and 5th from the left on the front. They are slightly shorter than some of the warlord but not noticeable in my opinion a good mix.

I personally felt Perry were a bit slight compared with Warlord, however, I still got a load of their Covenanters and made a Reg on their own and they look fine on the table next to WG though, it's not like you would look at them and go "oh that's not right". I probably should have done what mikeland did and mix them in with others.

Thanks for the answers!

Need to order some caissons for my French Naps anyway, so might add a few ECW for character.

Thanks for that. They look really good together, and a very nice paint-job as well.
Some variation in size reflects real life and these look like slightly different size people rather than a different scale. If that makes sense.

@ mikeland- Is that a conversion I spy 1st from left back row? Any chance of seeing these from a bit closer? Always good to see ECW :D

i wnt with mikelands recommendation a while ago and tried the perrys mixed in and they do look really good in my opinion, i really like using the loading musketeers for a 3rd rank and used the sergeants for a bigger variety in character types. i hear the assualt group may fit well to let me see if i can find the link to scale up pics.
