15mm with AP

Postby Fenton » Thu Mar 22, 2012 7:17 pm

I have recently got some 15mm figure and was thinking about using AP on them...My question is do you think I should try thinning it down for using it on 15mm or just use it straight from the tin?

Cheers in advance

I'd go for it. Make sure you watch for blobbing!
Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?

After thinking about it and completely missing the thread with the lovely British 15mm AP'd I think I shall just go for a glaze effect like a lot of people use

Thanks

It will be fine just slightly thinned down the ARTIST grade White Spirit. I use this stuff thinned down on 20mm models and it is brilliant for WW2 Brits ;)

My guess would be purity. Artist's will be more refined. Naturally.

Are you sure?....Most of them seem to go round cutting sheep in half and blowing up their bedrooms

"sheep, deconstructed, #4"

Seems natural.

Just to add to this topic , I was reading in a AP leaflet that they thin the AP with turps, I am presuming this is very different from white spirit, so what is the overall effect of using either of these

Cheers

No, I think turps, white spirit, thinners, whatever you call it, would probably do the same job. At least I assume so.
