I guess to each their own?

I have used it with great success on:
2500pt Skaven army for WHFB, my first use of it - 30 days to paint the army in full!
Imperial Fists Space Marines, with highlights after.
Lord of the Rings Mordor army. Small army.
ACW and Nap British including highlanders, a small test batch of each.
My French Naps, 3 regiments of foot, 3 guns. One regiment of foot was washed instead.

For me, the keys are:
1. Clean bright basecoat
2. Brush on AP, not dip! Make sure to watch for blobs and buildups.
3. Leave sit 12 hours minimum.
4. Use a matte varnish. I happen to enjoy the AP one at the moment.

Hey, I have a Gold Demon from my serious painting days, and I like the stuff. I think it's faster for me, to get a good tabletop result.

But to each their own.

I'm in both camps here, (don't like to sit on the fence but...), it would normally take me two weeks to paint a reg. of 40 figs to table top std, but AP knocks it down to a week, but, I only use it on those that I want to look like they've been on campaign though ECW/Romans etc. my Zulu stuff, sudan, foreign legion etc I wanted to stand out with clear colouring. Those I have used it on I'm really pleased with and did the same steps that grant mentioned, though I leave mine for 24hrs.

Hmm, I wonder what the effect of spraying this stuff would be like. I should think it would need to be thinned out, though.
Image Look! This is an empty jeep!!

I think using AP takes practice to get right just like a lot of other products ...My first few goes ended up as a gloopy mess but I slowly got better and will now continue to use, I mean if its good enough for Kevin Dallimore and David Imrie (Saxon Dog Blog) to use then its good enough for me

Exactly. Saxon Dog, and DJoker both use it to great success.
