Just give it a quick try brush when dry and spray it with dulcoat, no one will know the difference. ;)

though you might now want to strongtone the rest of the carpet so the shades match up again...

And remember to use the matte varnish. Otherwise on the two days that you get sun over there next year, the carpet will look far too shiny. :P

Yep Used Army Painter on lots of 20mm figures . Done all my WW2 Germans this way.

The only difference is that I add a small amount of thinners to the dip. All would also recommend this method for 15mm figs as well.
