New Paint Stations

Postby Big Al » Fri Aug 12, 2011 10:54 pm

These look great and a welcome addition. However, I can't help but wonder why the "Laptop" version doesn't have the water pot/paintbrush holder as well? If anything, this version would need it more than the "Desktop" version because having a pot of water free to move around whilst balanced on a tray on your lap is rather asking for trouble, to say nothing of the possibility of incurring the wrath of SWMBO when a loaded paintbrush rolls off said tray onto her beloved three piece suite!

Is it too late or can this vital omission be added to the tray? :)

Of course, it helps if I click on the unit picture and read the full description of the Laptop Workstation, don't you know?

I like them. Very much like the excellent but dropped GW one - which folk are always screaming out for. It's wee things like this that get your company name known by a wider audience.

Brilliant! I'll get one - to be able to lift my work-in-progress in one go will save so much time - and encourage me to do that hour-per-day I've promised myself. My cutting mat will fit into the larger one too :D

The big one is clearly superior to the GW one. I've had mine for a long time but only been using it as a mobile unit for the last couple of months and it's had the effect of making me more prolific. Since I've got the old GW one I can't warrant buying the big one but I fancy the little one as a construction area.

I am interested in the bigger one, and also wonder what the modular add-ons will be?

Ordered mine tonight, as well as Victrix Chasseur/Grenadier Colonels, and Charlie and the Duke of Cumberland.

I need to cancel my internet - Warlord is getting all my money! (and would get more if they had plastic SYW or 1745 figures ... )

I still have my large GW one but having to keep it in the cupboard under the stairs can make it a chore to get out and set up. The smaller portable one will definitely make things a whole lot easier and is bound to increase my work rate and by definition my limited skills!

Poor Grant,
the Internet is realy a money burner. So many things we want.....

But even worse, the space all that stuff takes. Fortunately I need no painting station, I have a special cabinet with a table coming out. If I'm in no mood for painting I close the doors and :P

Oh, I don't need the painting station, but I am hoping that it will help clean up the areas I work in, and make it easier to move from the basement - where I brush paint - and the garage, where I airbrush, spray, assemble, etc.
