how long does the army painter dip take to dry? is it like minwax where you have to leave the minis out over night?

It dries usually in about 4 hours but for all intents and purposes leaving them to dry over night is best. I usually do mine at weekends about an hour before I go to bed.Wink

in my experience, you need to give them a rest for at least 12 hours, cos the dip really needs to harden out

I generaly tend to leave mine for 24 hours before applying the matt varnish spray, gives it plenty of time to cure and harden.

dip dry...

Postby romavictor » Thu Feb 25, 2010 6:24 pm

this vexes me greatly... i tend to stay up into the pre dawn hours in preparation of the battle to come. sometimes finishing units the morning of gaming days. if i switch over to the army painter dip i may actually have to plan ahead.
