Hi,
I like to mix figures from different manufacturers to get the variety. If they are different heights I use bits of card to pack between the figure and the base so that the overall height is roughly the same. The diference in stature is not so obvious.

Just thought I would let you know that The Assault Group Thirty years wars range scales up with quite well with Warlords ecw if you want some variety. I am still hoping Warlord will produce some extra rank and file packs of its own, similar to the extra Pikemen.

the adding thicker basing is a decent idea. according to mikelands p.m.s to me perrys do fit pretty good, and sculpting looks close to warlords also just if anyone cares to know. thx guys!

The difference in miniature sizes can be compensated as previously explained to a satisfying effect but sometimes it shard to not notice the differences in the size of thier muskets never the less I am still going to mix them with various semi compatable manufactures to add as much variety in poses to my battle fields. I prefer the medium AP dip and some ocasions wish i had the lighter dip for the lighter effect and am going to add the lighter dip to the the supply list.

i ordered some perry ecw sergeants and commands as a test and they seem really good fit to the warlord stuff i have. now ill have some more variety and a few extra sergeant types for the bigger regiments! i really like how they have really thin bases so i dont have to trim them down at all. i think next ill order some armored pikes to add variety to my kings life guard, which i plan on all armored pikes. oh and maybe some of the loading musketeers to for the back ranks.
