"Shaft in my left hand, head in my right...", with apologies

Postby Mister_Chinnery » Sat Mar 17, 2012 2:14 am

My celtic standard bearer appeared yesterday courtesy of that mysterious magician named 'The Postie'. I couldn't be more happy. He's my first non-40k miniature and as I've only painted fourteen of those, I'm rather happy how he turned out. My hard to impress friend who also collects 40k was impressed, so that's a minor triumph. He said he looks like Asterix, whoever that may be...
The sculpt is really nice, I especially like the eyes, hair and chainmail. The different parts of the mini are nicely defined, so it's easy to keep the paint where you want it. It was a riot to paint after slogging through angular and unforgiving Dark Eldar. I've just got to create a suitably spectacular base, and he will be completed; pictures to follow! Incidentally, can someone instruct me how to embed pictures within the post rather than just linking to them please?

Asterix.

To embed a pic, I usually just copy the image link from my Photobucket account. Easy!
The other way is to use the IMG tab above, and insert the image location between the square brackets. Hope that helps! If you quote my message, before you post, you will be able to see the formatting.

Looking forward to the pictures :D
To embed pictures I ...
a) click the img button in the 'post a reply' window
b) open photobucket picture, right click and copy the 'properties' information.
c) Return to post reply box and paste the information inbetween the brackets created by clicking img

There's probably a much easier way...but it works for me : )

You can only embed the picture using Carvel's method if you have a link to it from another website.
To upload the photo into the text box go to the bottom of the topic pane and you'll see a couple of tabs named "Options" and "Upload Attachment". Click on Upload Attachment, then click browse and search for your photo, then click add file. When it done this you get the option to place it in line.
The only restriction is that you need to resize the photo to 640 pixels or it won't upload. Job done.
Image Look! This is an empty jeep!!

Like the rotting look you've got on the head - nice and gruesome!
