nag, nag, nag. With the Hail Caesar rules gaining some exposure and traction over the last couple of weeks - isn't it time to announce the new Ancient armies you are planning?
There are lots of plans for new ancients to accompany the release of Hail Caesar: new troop types and enhancements to current favourites not to mention whole new ranges. Of course, I'm not permitted to tell you anything about what they might actually be, but I am excited about them, so you should be too. Phil
I am not so sure .One of my friends who is an Ex Gw colleague( store manager) and a Sealed Knot aquaintence of John's was speaking to him last year on the very subject. Whilst John would like to see plastic biblicals himself produced by Warlord , he didn't think it would be commercially viable. However on saying that markets do change so you never know!I personally would welcome them as I love charriots even though none of my ancient armies actually have them!
Don't forget - Rick has said in his article on the subject that the game caters not just for the Ancient period but also for the medieval period. So it could be anything.I'm guessing we are talking about two opposing armies who are reasonably different in character. I also think that it will be a later time period rather than an earlier time period. Crusades are probably a little politically incorrect at the moment. Norman Conquest is well covered at the moment. Dark Ages are also pretty well covered in plastic.I'm forced to conclude then...100 years war? Knights, bowmen, men-at-arms etc. Sounds good to me.
Pardon me, Julius! Here wast thou bay'd, brave hart; Here didst thou fall; and here thy hunters stand, Sign'd in thy spoil, and crimson'd in thy lethe. - Julius Caesar, Act 3 Scene 1
Ooh-err! Well then, can't wait to see the Richard the Lionheart figure.
