Question on Depth of Fire

Postby Sigridsdad » Wed May 09, 2012 6:45 am

A firing line is 2 bases deep.(pg-15) Can that line be supported with a second line that can join in firing?

Support only occurs at the end of combat when sorting out which side is the victor. When firing, Line of Sight is in control. If the unit cannot see its target, it can't shoot at it. If there is a friendly unit in the way, then it cannot fire. Normally a unit must shoot at the closest target, but if the closest target is a unit of skirmishers, then they can be ignored for another target. The same if the closest unit is obscured by terrain, You can ignore them and shoot at another target.
