Yeah, but he's played fast and loose with some uniforms there!

That looks ace ... that's it, I've got to root out my old Airfix Napoleonics!

And some say I have many soldiers..... :o

In our local ship collctors club a guy had all the German U-Boats. Imagin some hundred identical VII C boats. Every time he bought a merchant ship at a meeting we joked he needed fodder for the wolfes.

I hope they are not individually based, and if they are please tell me he doesn't have a cat. Cat + this table = dead cat.

that is an impressive amount of figures.....in my life I have painted up until now, around 7,000 soldiers!

we use these big numbers but it is often very difficult to imagine in real terms what that would look like...and this seriously helps......I believe there were 50,000 casualties at waterloo so double that number!!!! and of course most of what you see in that picture was a casualty in the first hour on the somme in terms of numbers......when my wife saw these figures just now she told me she imagined everyone of them having a family (difficult since they are all plastic ;) .......we just see uniforms...makes you think doesn't it.
All my Photo's are now here!!! http://sisolders.wordpress.com/

Very often I get reminded to that, doing the research about the items in my collection. The serge frock I got today belonged to a man who was kia at Ypers 1915. The only son of the family.

Fortunately our gaming miniatures have no families.
