There's a thread on the general board where people have been postulating about the kind of things they'd love to see from Warlord in the future, and I thought it would be interesting to see what kind of stuff we'd like to see coming out when Blackpower is released. There have been indications that Warlord will be doing some kind of miniatures to go with the game but it the absence of details on eras, wethet they will be plastic or metal etc, here's a few things what my fevered imagination would love to see

American War of indepence stuff

A crimean war range

Plastic ECW troops - the references to 'Pike and Shot' got me even more excited about this project than before!

Buildings from the Peninsular war, such as battle damaged spanish churches with loopholes knocked into the walls

Any other thoughts?

I like the idea of AWI, but I have a feeling ECW will be just round the corner due to WG's dudes fondness for the period.

Hehe, AWI and Crimea were vying for my affections as next army to paint. Crimea lost out to AWI...

John has a fondness for ECW but my passion is WW2 which might be stretching Black Powder a bit!

Seconded!

AWI and ECW, both sound great.

At the moment though I'm looking forward to Black Powder mainly because of all these gorgeous plastic Napoleonics.

And should you ever do plastic WWII I would have to re-mortgage my house.

Cheers

AWI get's my vote. It's a period I want to do, but can't afford in metal.

Nobody told me kids were going to be this expensive! Wink

WW2 would be a bit of a waste in plastic, you don't need that many figs and there's some lovely figures out there already (make Stuart at Great Escape Games your first port of call). AWI would be fantastic, or even seven years war, bigger armies, colourful but simplish to paint and certain trooops can be used for AWI as well.

Not many troops in WWII? A waste in plastic??? AWI & SYW simple to paint???

I do not really agree here. Surely there are a few nice metal ones (as there are AWI and SYW) but I would kill for decent WWII plastics in 28mm. Imagine alone the conversions one could do..Cool

And 18th century uniforms are as detailled as Napoleonic and most certainly not an Armypainter Quickshade job.

But ECW plastics will make me happy as wellWink.

Cheers

Not sure how WW2 would be a waste of plastic, but the minis that Great Escape sells are the fantastic Bolt Action Minis.
