1900 or thereabouts........

Postby Gallowglass » Sun Sep 28, 2008 2:52 pm

Hi

I'm eagerly awaiting the release of Black Powder. It sounds exactly like what I'm looking for in a set of big battle rules, and I hope to use it for my AWI, Napoleonic, Colonial and ACW games.

On the subject of Colonial games, I've had a long-standing interest in the Anglo-Boer War, but never really got around to it. Given that there was a fairly significant evolution in infantry tactics at the close of the 19th century, how well do you feel BP would handle games representing Modder River, Elandslaagate or Colenso? Would there be less figures for British and Boer units, but more firepower per unit?

Just wondering out loud....i'll be quiet nowSealed

Many thanks.
