Medieval

Postby Dazzles » Wed Jun 03, 2009 4:26 pm

Hello,

I've just been wondering has Warlord ever thought of doing the medieval period?

I'm very interested in medieval figures and it would be great if Warlord did them.

Thanks,

Dazzles.

I'm with you on that Dazzles. Personally, if I was given the choice of which bit of medieval, I'd prefer figures suitable for the Third Crusade - Saladin, Richard the Lionheart, etc - it's almost totally neglected by figure manufacturers, but with those two characters, and all the action, what's not to like?

I second Phil here.

I have been dying for a good Knight on foot, Men at Arms plastic for years.

Generally, theirs either not enough choice of models and their only average anyway Black Tree Design or their way to glamorous and don't look gritty at all.

Please, please, please, stary eyes.

Good idea, production overheads could be halved with both antagonists possibly building armies from tha same box of models.

How about two boxes, one containing:

5 Robed mail bodies with suitable equipment to suggest foot knights. Particularily great swords and bucket helms.

10 Studded armour bodies that have the option to be equiped with crossbows or longbows.

5 Mounted knights bodies with lances or swords, bucket helms, robes and of course horses.

10 Men at Arms with various options.

and then the other containing:

10 Sarrisan cavalry with the option for lances, sabres and bows.

10 Sarrisan infantry with swords, spears etc, etc.

10 Sarrisan infantry with bows and sabres.

All in plastic of course.

Don't you think that would be so epically cool. You could always sell the sprues individually so that people could add x number of foot knights or whatever to their army.

Please...Pretty Please.

Perry Miniatures for 100 Years War, excellent quality.

Yes, Perry's can't be beat.. Plus their upcoming War of the Roses range - they should be suitable for other mid to late period 15th century wars too. !!
