OZWAT ! commemorating... something

Postby Jim » Mon Aug 24, 2009 4:52 pm

G'day Gents,

Very good show, what. You appear to be very magnanimous in victory.

I can't believe the Yanks are even drummingus with it. CNN sport yesterday replayed the 'Champagne Victory' pretty much non-stop.

At least our tears may go some way to quenchin this drought we have down here [que violins].

Chin-chin,

Jim

I thought the whole thing was an example of how good sport can be, when players at the highest levels of the game can behave in such a gentlemanly manner. When feelings run as high as they do in an Ashes series, it's easy for it to get silly.Good show from your guys, though I still think Ponting is a graceless gallah, the rest of his team are showing some promise, especially Mike Hussey.Still wouldn't ever want to a cat on Freddy Flintoff's lawn though.

Last time we managed to grab those ashes from you, we got a 5-0 drubbing as a reply in your back yard. Its nice to beat you chaps occasionally but you always pay us back in spades. If we can retain them next series Down Under then I might think English cricket has something to celebrate.

Any rate, a jolly good show by all and we didn't even need the weather to save us!

Not really into Cricket, but liked the free postage from Warlord Games :)
