Cabaret at Galipoli

Postby Invisible officer » Sat Oct 20, 2012 10:52 am

Well, not realy. For the nice officer miniature sold by the beasts the obvious head dress choice for me was the cap worn by Lt. Col. James Isherwood , CO 1/5 Lancashire Fusiliers in Egypt and at Galipoli. A cousin of the Isherwood that inspired the musical Cabaret.

Very nice. Just to be clear, that first "thing" is basically a big catapult for flinging grenades???

Thank you.

Yes, it is one of the many strange catapult devices used in the first half of WW I to throw selfmade bombs or handgrenades. Not very safe.

The oak table is realy there, you've seen the wall on many pics before.

Tufting these had a simple reason, the Turkish Spandau looked so naked without. And still waiting for the 1672 delivery I did more strange things. Including another Dystopian submarine this weekend.

I've seen the movie 'Cabaret', and I don't remember any of those guys being there.

Although, in fairness, those tufts do look a little like Lisa Minelli's eyelashes.
