AWI, Yorktown, w.i.p.

Postby AndreaG » Wed Jun 27, 2012 3:33 pm

A new idea in progress. A small dio depicts three soldiers of 2° New Hampshire Regiment. For this work I'll use of minis of "Perry Miniatures", in white metal, which I placed on a base of 4 cm. x 4 cm..
I welcome your advice and suggestions! ;) :D
Thank you!
Andrea

Looks great. Will be looking forward to more pictures. Maybe the wounded mans musket propped between him and the gabion, bayonet sticking up over the parapet? But it looks very nice indeed.

Nice.

Yes, in fact the idea is to place the rifle on the parapet.
Thanks for the tip! ;)

Hi all! I started as usual from the base. To accomplish that I first laid a base with "Milliput" white, upon which I sank the sideburns of figurines. After I have painted the base with "burnt umber" (Vallejo), I spread a mixture of water and white glue on which I then sprayed on natural earth and some artificial grass. Then, I painted the gabbion and the parapet...
I hope that my English was clear enough .... :(

Can't wait to see the finished project!

Is this just going to be a display piece or are you gearing up to make an army?
