Dalauppror: Don't have any friends here who do wargames or even paint. Sad but true ;) But I am tempted for a game, I'll give you that. Would really like to try a skirmish game like Lord of the rings SBG or something more historical.

Based on your profilepicture, do you reenact?

Cheers

Hi Johnnie

Wasn´t you down in Växjö ? Got to be wargamers there:) I know at least one... http://kampgruppe-engel.blogspot.se/

The Lord of the Ring rules are greate to use for historical games to, I have used them for our Viking/Early medieval games befor SAGA. These gamers in Stockholm use them for skirmish games in the same era as my Kalmar Union War. http://northern-wargaming.blogspot.se/search/label/Lord%20of%20the%20Rings

The picture are from my youth then I Sailed with the Longships for some pilage and plundering  ...I used to Craft lether work, like the helmet on the picture to sell at the medieval week at Gotland, but no reeinactment in the meaning fighting. :D

I'm from Huskvarna. Home of Rumlaborg ;) There is a wargames club a few kilometres from me but I've never been there. Find it hard to go when you don't know anyone there or no one to tag along ;)

The SAGA is Gripping beast new ruleset right? That Kalmar union game with the captured knight looked really nice. Great scenery and great minis. Big battles with regiments in all its glory but those skirmish games seems to be awesome. Strategy on a small scale where every casualty counts and single soldiers could save the day :)

Aah,some good old crafting. It's nice to see people keeping up the old crafts :)

Cheers!

Some more WIP :)

Should have gone for a thicker cross on the "finnish" knight. See if I widen it later.

And the casualities. I really like the wounded knight. Terrific pose. Raising his hand as to ask for mercy.

Quick historic question. Is it "too" wrong to use some billmen from the War of the roses period to mix with hundred years war figures? Hundred years war 1300-1400? War of the roses 1450-1500? Hope it's not blasphmey for some historians

Hi Johnnie

Mighty fine minis !!!

HYW 1337 to 1453. For me at least I would be possible to mix them in to a late period HYW, but I suppous the experts will have a say to...

As you know I use them all for my Kalmar Union project, but then we were a bit after in using the latest equipment up here in the north...

Huskvarna, and Rumlaborg, then you have to paint the Knight Otto Snapp that was in command of the castle during the Engelbrekt rebellion in 1334 or may be the Traitor Eggert Eggersson from the House of Krummedige, that turned side in to the Danish in the war of 1452...

House of Krummedige

Some years ago I was to Jönköping for a DBA tournament "HöstBatalj", probably arranged by the same gaming club "IFSS" ?, we was in the Studiefränjandes house. Way don´t you get in touch with them an see how if works out, if it isn´t interesting, you don´t have to go no more...

Thanks!

See if I get some billmen anyway. Those metal billmen from Perry looks mighty fine :D Would like to get hold on some armed peasants to. Have you got hold of Foundrys armed peasants?

Interesting info you gave me there about Rumlaborg. Haven't read so much about it yet but would really like to.

IFFS- Institutet för strategiska studie. I've read about them a few times. See if I give it a shot :)

Cheers!

Hi

I havent the Foundrys armed peasants, Foundry are to expensive i think.

I have ordered most of my pesants from Blcak Tree Design. at the moment they have 35% disscount on some of them, the ones in the Feudal range (But you have to sigh up for a free premium membership and be logged in to see the disscount, also free shipping if order more then ...dont remember...might ave been £20)

You can see some packs here http://www.blacktreedesign.com/europe/home.php?cat=2482
