Pappenheim the Warlord

Postby Invisible officer » Wed Mar 28, 2012 9:37 am

Pappenheim the Warlord - Cuirassiers. :D
Got Monday some TYW miniatures and started work in the night.

The standarte is a conjectural one, attributed by some to Pappenheim. Well, in fact at the time Pappenheim was the famous cavalry leader in 1631/32 few "Cuirassiers" wore the full set. But who would like to play Lützen without the heavies?

On the table they look well near to my old foundry ones. But I would not mix them, style and size is different.

That'll teach those papist dogs.

Thank you very much. These Warlord miniatures are a joy to paint.

I'm now doing the Swedish cavalry. And considering buying some more Warlords. Yes, plastics. ;)

A pity that they do no more new TYW types in the moment. Croats would be great.

Lovely set IO! I do love a good pike and shotte force.

I really like the look of the currasiers, but they were fairly rare in the ECW, which is what my armies are.

IO I would recommend the Warlord dragoons set, I think they are really superb minis.
