Just a sneak peek today. The phalanx is growing nicely...

The next box will have arrived by then

Thanks for posting a comparision. Alexander looks only slightly bigger but still good to use. My Warlord Sarmatians are unfortunately on the small side, the Foundry Romans are stronger. But who realy cares with such nice miniatures.

So the announced Warlord metal horse will be mine . :P

My ready 130 men phalanx is not so desparately in need of reinforcement. But a second Phalanx army for a battle between Hellenistic armies?

I'm "pregnant" with Montrose campaign armies from Warlord. Some plastic horsed Scottish Lancers will be a must. Would wish them to be metal.

I guess my best argument for metal is unbeatable: My girlfriend dislikes the feeling of the light plastics. (And I do too, but that's not so important, may be I put some weight in the horses and she will not notice :? )

They are fantastic SP :D You have done a magnificant job of these ,i am in awe :) Can i ask where you got the movement trays from as i like to mount my miniatures on round bases and these will work a treat for me?

Cheers CMT
Once you get them running, you can stay on top of them, and that way a small force can defeat a large one every time

"War of the Ring" type trays, there's MDF ones around as well.
Let them eat Static.

Ok i have recieved my Phalangites and have assembled 8 of them. Have also ordered some movement trays from Warbases. co. I am most impressed with them and wonder weather to paint them with conventional method or AP.I am leaning toward conventional ;) SP did you attach the shields before painting or afterwoods? I could attach beforehand but may be a little fidley painting them.

Ok thanks Sp will do it that way as thats my normal method of shield painting :) Next question what were the water slide decals/transfers like to use? Have WG said if they are going to do a metal command for the Phalingites as i cant see weather thay did or not?
