Very nice! Both the vexillia you've put on recently have been superb! Are the pelts integral to the figures, or did you hand make them from green stuff? I've been wondering about helots for the Greek project, but can't find any minis with pelts or skins wrapped around their arms.

Hi Clive, thank you, both those Standard bearer types are warlord romans one metal one plastic, I have only ever attempted one pelt myself.....it didn't turn out too bad, i based it on the new command figures for the auxiliaries.
Greenstuff, but it was very basic....just a partial bear pelt..if i can do it anyone can! Just sharpen a matchstick!
here are the pics i have..mines the poor effort on the right ;)

After the Varus diasaster i'm not sure helping celts with standard bearer pelts is ethical........You've heard of Otto Skorzeny i take it?....Carvel better watch out i reckon a change of passwords might be in order at the fort! ;)

Have you looked at immortal miniatures website.....I remember seeing something in pelts there i'm sure, if not email him (pretty sure it's Steve) yes here it is http://www.immortalminiatures.com/psiloi.html
he is the man for historical accuracy on Ancient greeks.
