First Warlord Celts

Thank You Warlord for these fantastic mini's this is what I have been waiting for my entire gaming life.

Anyway on to the Mini's the plastic kit is fantastic and i could not resist altering a couple so here is a quick pic of my favoruite conversions, I will add images of the units later.

From Left to right Jumping noble Tried for a more dynamic pose like he is taking a jumping strike (think Brad Pitt in Troy)

Armoured Standard Bearer just a repose.(the least worek and also the mini I am most happy about)

Fanatic Champion Added a Sword in the left hand and made him jumping over a shrub to strike fear into his oponent ( I wanted there to be no doubt about which mini was the leader of my fanatic unit)

Let me know what you think.

Very clever and neat idea - what plans have you got for converting dynamic celt cavalry? Smile

Those are lovely conversion. How did you go about converting the standard bearer?

Very nice. How about a quick article (step-by-step guides) on your conversion projects???

Thanks Paul that means heaps, (actually I had a total fan boy moment)

--hithero--

No imediate plans for cavalry but eventally we'll see

--Baggers-- and --Little Odo--

Thanks to you both I will do some step by step guides with my next box and depending on how they turn out there could be some more ambitious projects too.

As promised a quick guide to my standard bearer conversion

Start with these legs

Seperate the feet from the base

Cut a "V" shaped wedge in the right foot

Bend the foot strait and re-glue to the base with a suitable shaped object under the

raised foot

***hint**** If using plastic cement to glue the foot to the base put a dob on the base where the foot will go and a dob on the foot and wait 10 mins for the plastic to be soft and tackie then put a little more glue on, this will help the model stand upright while the glue bonds fully.

The torso is easy just slice the arm at the elbow and rotate to the desired angle.

Now a taste of what is to come, the first of my character conversions

My advise to those wishing to attempt this sort of conversion is just go for it start cutting off limbs and reposing them with blu tac you can always glue them back the way they were if it does not work

Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! That's a bloody great conversion! Bags of chatacter and a natural pose.

Toes of the foot on the rock could do with being turned out a tad but otherwise thats really, really nice.

Ah, the joy of quality plastics...

Paul
