To post an image of my first auxiliary, so here goes:

I'm working on the rest of the unit, in between bouts of decorating. Just got to paint and flock the bases, and squirt a coat of matt varnish over everything.
Cheers,
Phil

Sweet paintjob!
I think I need to get some auxiliaries after all..
Cheers
S.P.
Wow! Yet another fantastic paint job on more great figures. Can't wait to see the full 24!
My legionaries are slowly, and I mean sllooowwwwllllyyy, coming along. I have them all snipped and glued, mostly undercoated and a couple of colours on a few. Maybe this time next year you guys will get to see my first batch - but don't hold your breath
I have also snipped, glued and undercoated my first batch of Celts. This is probably the fastest I have ever painted figures. My usual rate is at about the same speed as continental drift, but these are positively glacial in speed.
They look great Phil!
Have you just applied the basecoat and then dipped in army painter?
It looks like i will have to bite the bullet and get a can, if I intend to finish these guys.
In regards to Army Painter what have you found that works best - Dipping the model or using a brush to apply the tone, which I pesume in this case is strong tone?
Regards
Jim
Thanks Jim,
Yes, just basecoated and then applied the Quick Shade. I haven't tried dipping them - I just paint it on with a flat brush - makes it easy to get the amount you want where you want it, and because there's no shaking involved, I suspect it's less messy too. Yes, it was Strong Tone.

Phil
G'day Phil,
Cheers. I have just placed my order for some army painter dip along with 2 lots of slingers and some legionary command.
I am also getting a bit historical and reading an Osprey warriors resource book that I purchased. My apologies to the roman sandal brigade though, but that's as historical as I am getting. Oops sorry no. I tell a lie. I may watch Gladiator a few more times before deciding on my final army composition.
Now where's the section for 12.5mm flaming arrow ammunition with depleted uranium shaft…..
Here they are, bunged on a board.

Cheers,
Phil
LoL So that is what happened to the rest of my order
Looks like you did a lot better job than I would have done. Just put them in the post to me.
Terry
