Those mercenaries looks sweet! :D

I'm still waiting for my Perry's though..

Do you order your minis from a swedish homepage or directly through Perrys homepage?

I have painted 4 bases of German mercenarys in Danish/Union service.

These will be mixed with already existing units so I can remove the crossbowmen I at first had in the units.

I want to have all Mercenary made up af the same type of troop, so only the Allmoge units are mixed.

Sins last time have I painte some more Swedish allmoge soldiers

Image
This unit are under command of Birger Birgersson from the house of Trolle, father to Arvid Birgersson (Trolle)

The family name comes from the family coat of arms that depicts a headless troll. According to tradition, the family had taken these arms on the basis of a legend that a common ancestor must have killed a troll and robbed a drinking horn, which was called Våxtorpshornet.

Those allmoge soldiers, who is the manufacture?

Been looking for miniatuers with a peasant look. Been hoping for the Perrys bros to make peasants for their Agincourt to orleans range.

Exciting project you have there and as a swede I'm very curious to read more about that period after watching your work. Bra jobbat! ;)

Tack Johnnie ! / Thanks

Its a total mix of manufacture....

most of them are from Kingmaker, Black Tree DesignandGripping Beast, mixed up with Perry, Crusader, Curteys, Foundry...might be some more...

You are fortunate that can read Swedish, as there are not much about this period in English...Lucky you :D

I just had to paint some of the lovely Claymore Casting minis,as I needed 2 more command stands to some Allmoge units I took the opportunety to mix in 2 Claymore Casting minis on each base... Here are some pictures of the first one...

Image

This represent Bengt Gunnarsson of the House of Gylta.

He was never dubbed to a Knight and remained a Squire all he´s life. Bengt are listed among the Swedish Privy Council in 1446 and was married with Martha Andersdotter of the House of Öra. With whom he had the son Peder Bengtsson.

Bengt turned allegiance in 1452 and got in Danish service. He was sentenced in contumaciam to death for treason by the Swedish King Karl Knutsson of House of Bonde in 1453, but Bengt was then in Denmark. He returned in 1458 after King Christian I's accession to the throne, but regained not his office.

As Bengt Gunnarsson of the House of Gylta was a traitor he will most often be seen in command of a Allmoge unit in Danish service...

Of course more pictures at the blog

Lovely flags. Reminds me of doing some of my own when I get some more minis from the Perrys :)
Do you cover the flag in PVA glue and roll it around the pole?

Cheers!
