Something for the weekend. August 3rd

Postby Deadmanwade » Fri Aug 03, 2012 8:01 am

I am done with work and heading home. Aside from a quick trip to the dentist this evening to schedule having my wisdom teeth pulled, I intend to enjoy myself as much as possible. The wife is working tomorrow and out with friends on Sunday so I should have some peace and quiet to get some hobbying done.
First on the list is donating some old terrain to the FLGS. I could still use it but it gives me a reason to purchase some sexy new laser cut MDF pieces. :D After that I have a battalion of Scots ti paint up for my Napoleonic Brits and maybe a Howitzer too.
All that plus a few of my favourite beverages should amount to a good weekend.

Best wishes to everyone for your own weekends.

Off to Bristol Zoo today for the little 'un's first visit to a zoo. She's very excited.

Finishing up bagging and cataloguing the stuff I'm selling (or trying to sell) at the B&B at Claymore, to fund new purchases :)
Claymore tomorrow, hopefully with a few demo games, then off to see Ted. Unlikely I'll get to any painting this weekend though.

I'm also slightly amused at uncovering the yet-to-be-opened stuff from the last Claymore as well :D

I've no real shopping list for tomorrow but then I'll be stopping by Warlord HQ in a couple of weeks where I'll no doubt get carried away. My only goal for tomorrow is to try not to spend too much more than I make

It's friday already?
That's what you get for lazing about all summer I expect.
No specific plans for the weekend, hobby-wise I will continue with my cultists/plague zombies for my plague marine army for 40k. I've cast up 30 odd old Prince August ghouls for this. I'm having a blast casting again after 25 years, especially since I now know to read the instructions more carefully and found some good advice on how to mod the mould to avoid specific casting faults. :)

I'll also build the next batch of the black coated regiment for my TYW army.

I always fail with that goal, if you're going to WG HQ I've heard they only let you in if you bring biscuits :thumbsup
