I think you are right. I think its more of a treuce rather than solving the problem .

It will probably kick up again in 12 months time.

On a positve side it gives BF more time to have a rethink. I don't think they will believe its going to go away either. Well if they have any sense anyway . :reading

I wonder if their profit margins are chubby enough for them to chop their figure prices? If they want more people buying their products rather than using cheaper alternatives (especially at camera-heavy tournaments), this certainly wouldn't hurt!

That is absolutely hilarious. I have never seen a company react that way to a forum protest! Good on BF to figure out that their Titanic was about to hit the iceberg and there weren't enough boats!

They would literally have to half there prices in order to be on par with the price of there competition  I also thing there is a demand on there forum for the casting quality to be improved, although i can't really comment on how accurate that statement is as I have only ever purchased a bf British command and I have nothing (yet) in 15mm to compare it too.

Anyway, as Grant said it's certainly a good thing that they actually listened to there customers

Thr fact is, the production quality of the product is poor andcosts are very, very low given where their manufacturing plants are.... If they're profit watching now then what they need to do is come up with something new instead of constantly milking their single trick pony.

Their tanks and guns I think are decent enough. Their infantry are a real mixed bag. Decent at best, "I like chasing parked cars" faces at worst. The bottom of the barrel were the NVA for the Viet Nam line - they were supposed to have "stars" on their helmets, but were more like mining lamps. Sad. Their early war line is especially bad. They need much better sculptors! That's the real bottom line. If plastic soldier company can do what they can, there is no reason that BF can't. Also, their manufacturing is offshore in Malaysia, and the quality can be dodgy.

I don't miss my 15mm, and will likely build Flames of War using 6mm GHQ. As I have no opponents, no one can complain about the scale! And frankly GHQ in 6mm makes BF look like poop in 15mm.

I don't think it needs a price cut as no company as far as I am aware has done that . I think stable prices would enable a good platform. I am glad they have actually listened to customers and responded in a positive way.

I still get cheesed off when they call it the "FOW Hobby" . FOW is a money making company not a hobby. The Hobby is WW2 wargaming. At the moment the hobbyists are holding the power :laughter

The point is that the game isn't a historic wargame, it's Flames of War, a game that uses WWII themed models and an awful lot of them have the same pose as GW LotR Moria Goblin spearmen. But with swivelled heads.

You'd best not be bashing the LotR Moria Goblins! Those are some exquisite models that were exceptionally well done. Unlike the BF chubbies. :)
