URGENT HELP NEED from WWII Scholar!!!

A chap in out club got a Chaffee nearly ten years ago for £25k in running condition. Economics had him sell it and it was snapped up for £150k last year. He paid off his house, everything and just got himself a M36 in running condition. We're spending the War and Peace show this year painting and stencilling it.

Now that's a awy to make money if you were so inclined!

Mmmmm M36, very nice. Someone at Maiden Newton had an immaculate Achilles. There was a whole load of really cool stuff on display down there.

And yes this stuff seems to be a really good investment - my buddy's halftrack has gone up in value from the £8k he paid for it to about £30-35k now. I'll have to look out for you at War and Peace, we should be there on one or other of the days. If the 29th remember to put us on their list....

A friend of mine restores WWII era Jeeps and Trucks. Some of them have been in movies, like Saving Private Ryan. It would be a cool way to make money but the initial outlay now is high. A few years back it would have been easier.

About 6 years ago I looked at buying a Ferret, the guy wanted $7K. I opted for the '63 Land Rover as well. It would have been cool to have (90% restored) but I need something a bit more practical. I do still want to get on though. Luckily there is a dealer ship about 3 hours away that has some, along with tanks and other items.

A few years ago I painted an M3 halftrack and stood on the hood of a neighbouring one to take a poor VGA phone picture and posted it on a modelling forum on my project log. The picture was so bad folk thought it was 15mm so when they asked what technique I used I said..... Paint roller.

Btw, if I had a bucket of Devlan Mud I wouldn't be stripping my Battle Sisters
