Broke my hobbyknife against some rather hard wood the other day. It snapped, bounced on my chest and disappeared. Found it today, nailed to the wall :? I will be more careful in the future.

So, any accidents happened to you?

I melted the arm of a GW Demon once by trying to drill into it. I wasn't paying attention and was trying to use a standard mini-drill (instead of a pin vice), so the harder I pushed (always a bad idea) with the motor whining like a be-atch the more the metal heated up, until it all quite suddenly turned into a soft blob in my hands.

Other than that, just the usual cuts and jabs with hobby knives, plus a horrible incident where I sprayed some completed models with black undercoat instead of matt varnish.

Yeah...lucky I found it. Was expecting to get it in my foot or something :?

That sounds terrible...what did you do with the figures Cubster??

I once spilled paint remover over my miniatures. Ruined many hours of work. Just to start over.

Usually I end up gluing myself to something, the worst thing I've done was whilst gluing (super glue) an arm onto a Roman and then applying activator to speed things up not knowing the super glue had dripped onto my finger, the activator did what it was supposed to and, I tell you I have never had a burn like it, absolute agony

The most edgey one I ever did was I had a spill proof bottle of loctite superglue... Which I spilled all over my desk. I grabbed a lump of loo roll that was on the desk for drybrushing and mopped it up and the loo roll instantly burst into flames.
I was thankful that I had two pots of water since one wasn't enough to put it out.
