New to Historical wargaming

Hello everyone,this year has been a real eye opener for me as ive just started to get into historical wargaming.I started with operation squad and painted two small squads of screaming eagles and waffen s.s since then ive purchased Black Powder and Hail Caesar and im painting French line infantry and Spartans for both.
Ive found looking into the periods of time for all the models ive painted to be a great way to relax and get back into wargaming again great minis great rules what more could you want

You shouldn't be short of opponents with either a French Napoleonic or Spartan army

Getting a game in is the difficult part for me. I live in a rural community and there are very few wargamers, not even those that play GW games (GW hit a high point here about 10 years ago and since then interest has declined to negligible), so I content myself with puting together units and armies.

I'm on the edge of a city and can't get a game. the only historic playing club seems to be a closed secret society, you can't even get registered on their forum.

Well that's a real shame. One of the great benefits of living in or near a city should be the ease with which you find other people that share a common interest.
