Visiting Warlord

Postby redben » Tue Apr 24, 2012 10:25 pm

Do Warlord have a retail outlet at their HQ and if so are they open on a Saturday? A few of us will be down from the frozen north this Saturday and will be popping over for a browse and a purchase or two if so.

Hello Redben,

We don't have a "retail outlet" so much as a warehouse full of stock, a kettle and an open invitation to any and all that want to make the trek to Nottingham to see us. Unfortunately though, we're not open on weekends. :( The bosses let us off our leads and we're over the horizon before you can say "quitting time".

If by any chance you are arriving in Nottingham on Friday afternoon, by all means come by and say hello. If not, we'll be happy to see you next time you are in town.

Safe travels,
The Warlords

Hi redben,

You could always pop into the Maelstrom Games which is relatively nearby (if I remember correctly). It's a big shop and they serve beer! Give them a call to see what they have in stock.

Maelstrom Games Ltd
Matlock Mill
Hamilton Way

Don't be put off by Maelstrom. They have a huge stock but very little is on display. You can check stock and prices on an internet terminal in the store but then you have to ask for what you want.

IMO it's a strange way of running a shop. Nothing is priced but the staff are helpful. On the plus side they have a large gaming centre with tables and refreshments.

As Kristen said WG is not 'visitor friendly' but they are friendly to visitors!

Oh and if your inclinations lie that way there is 'the other' games empire nearby.

Thanks for the replies :). Hopefully I'll get a chance to make a weekday trip to Nottingham before the financial black hole of my Masters begins lol. I've been down to Maelstrom before, I don't think we'll have time to fit a stop in on the way down unfortunately. Plus they don't (yet) sell Assyrians.
