The baby bird is believed to be a Sparrow. Since we have no idea what sex it is we've named him Jack(ie) in honor of Capt. Jack Sparrow.

He's so ugly he's cute - eats a lot and poops a lot. Still no sign of the eyes opening but tiny tiny little feather nubs have started to show up - they look like a lot of blackheads.

The weather is being a bit bizarre all over the world isn't it? @Vogless - We've heard about the Chicago weather - have you heard of the high temps in Main? I saw a video NASA/NOAA have put together, it shows the earth's Polar shift from 5 to 30 degrees ; Kansas ends up being in the new equator.

I've seen plenty if strange weather, C. There's just something about this year with ALL the craziness combined that gives me the willies. I think it's the opening round to some big, long term changes.
